Guided hunts are a great way to spend a vacation. Whether with friends or family- you are guaranteed to have a blast. From Mule deer to sport fishing, and everything in between, there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy.
Hog hunting has always been an old-fashioned favorite around Texas. Wild Boars are considered to be an annoyance by most. They are comparable to rats in that they breed quickly and produce large numbers of offspring. For this reason, hog hunts can be reserved almost anywhere in Texas. Sometimes, if you’re lucky, landowners will actually pay you to decrease the hog population on their land.
If hog hunting is not what you are looking for, there are many other options to choose from. Over the past few years, the price of killing trophy game animals has actually dropped. Because of the current financial and economic situation affecting the population, hunters are less inclined to pay upwards of $10,000 to shoot a trophy Black Buck. Therefore, hunting guides have realized the need to lower their prices in order to meet the demands of the market. For example, last year at the Dallas Safari Club show, the price of a trophy elk hunt had dropped from the $9,000 range to the $6,000 range. We are talking about a four day, all-inclusive trip. As stated earlier, the economy has hit everyone hard and hunting guides are willing to make a deal. Taking advantage of a great hunt and possibly even checking something off of the bucket list might be something worth looking in to- especially at such a discounted rate.
Benefits of guided hunts:
It is a guide’s job to make your trip fun and enjoyable. They want you to enjoy the experience and come back again in the future. Let them take care of all the hard parts; all you have to do is pull the trigger and enjoy the hunt.
